Bella Vita

Purpose

This project was designed as a part of the final submission for my UX Design Professional Certificate. It was my second project out of three.

The customer is an imaginary Italian restaurant in Italy called Bella Vita. They have been in business for three generations, but they currently do not have a website to advertise themselves effectively.

Project Overview

  • The owners of Bella Vita want an easy and accessible way for their guests to be able to view the menu online, and to make reservations or catering orders.

  • To create a simple yet effective web and mobile application that customers of Bella Vita can use to have a seamless experience inside and outside of the restaurant.

  • A UX Designer designing a web and mobile application for the owners of Bella Vita from conception to delivery.

Pain Points

    • Difficult to contact Bella Vita in any other way besides through telephone.

    • Only option for eating food from Bella Vita was in the restaurant, limiting an expand in business.

    • Customers want to be able to cater food to their homes for parties/events.

The owners found that the only option for dining at Bella Vita was in the restaurant, limiting opportunities to make greater revenue. Customers also wanted options to purchase food for parties and at home through catering.

    • No option for making reservations ahead of time, so there was always long lines at the door.

Solution

  • Displays Bella Vita’s menu

  • Allows users to book catering

  • Allows users to make reservations
